Can You Customise Your Safari with Bagaria Tours?

One of the most common questions we receive from travellers is this:

“Do we have to choose one of the itineraries on your website, or can the safari be built around what we actually want?”

The simple answer is yes; your safari can be customised.

At Bagaria Tours and Safaris, the itineraries on our website are not meant to fix you in. Consider them starting points designed to help you see what is possible: route combinations that work perfectly together, ideal travel dates, and destinations that can be combined smoothly. Notably, your final safari plan will not follow these itineraries exactly.

We understand that each traveller is different. Some want more time per destination. Others enjoy slow-paced itineraries with no long drives. Some travellers with children opt for more family-friendly lodges and have enough time to relax between game drives. Others want a honeymoon-style safari with privacy, comfort and beautiful views. That is why we tailor safaris around your interests, budget, travel dates, and comfort level.

With care of our clients’ interests and preferences, we cannot truthfully create a “One Size Fits All” safari package.

You may like the general idea of a 6-day safari to Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara, but maybe you want to add a Maasai village visit, a hot air balloon safari, or a sundowner to make the experience more interesting. You may also want to replace the long road drives with domestic flights instead.

In this regard, we customise your safari based on:

  • Number of safari days
  • Preferred Destinations
  • Choice of camps, lodges, and camps
  • Private or group joining safari style
  • Road safari or fly-in safari
  • Game drive schedule
  • Cultural experiences
  • Beach extensions to Diani or Zanzibar
  • Honeymoon, family, solo, luxury, or budget-friendly arrangements

A good safari should feel like it was planned for you, not forced onto you.

The properties featured on our site should be treated as references of the kind or camps and lodges we frequently recommend. They help you understand the style, location, and general budget range of the accommodation you may find on your safari route.

Please note that Kenya and Tanzania have many excellent safari lodges and camps, and we can book other properties upon request. If you already have a lodge you want to stay at, feel free to share it with us. We can compare rates, check availability, and advise honestly if it is a good fit for your comfort and route.

Sometimes a lodge may look beautiful online, but may not be practical for your itinerary. It could be too far from the park gate, located in the wrong area for the season, or less suitable for the kind of safari you want. This is where proper planning matters. We do not just book rooms. We help you choose accommodation that makes sense for the experience you are looking for.

Why the right accommodation Matters?

Accommodation is one of the biggest parts of safari planning, and it affects both the cost and the feel of the trip.

If your main focus is on wildlife, you may choose simple, comfortable camps that emphasise conservation and connecting with nature. If your priority is combining excellent food, magical views, service, and privacy, then luxury tented camps or lodges may be a better choice. In some cases, you may want a mix, saving money in one destination and upgrading in another.

We discuss the itinerary and your desired level of comfort to determine which level of accommodation best suits you in between:

  • Budget camps
  • Mid-range lodges and tented camps
  • Luxury safari camps
  • Ultra – Luxury boutique camps/lodges
  • Family-friendly lodges
  • Honeymoon-style camps
  • Accessible accommodation where available (for our clients with limited mobility)

For the perfect safari experience, the important thing is choosing the right lodge for your route, season and comfort.

Why Custom Safari Planning Matters

A safari is not about booking hotels and adding in a few game drives. The Route, timing, distance between destinations, seasons, accommodation locations and the variety of animals and landscapes in the preferred destination all matter.

For example, if visiting the Masai Mara during the Great Migration season, the location of your accommodation can significantly affect how easily you access the main river crossing spots. For Amboseli, you want to choose accommodation that gives you good access to the park and possible views of Mount Kilimanjaro. When combining Kenya and Tanzania, border crossing logistics must be planned carefully to avoid unnecessary delays.

This is why we take time to understand what you want and how to best fit in every detail before confirming the final itinerary.

How the Customisation Process Works

The process is simple.

You may start by choosing a base itinerary from our website, and then we will build from there. If you already know what you want, you can tell us your preferred destinations and the level of comfort you have in mind. From there, we ask a few important questions:

  • When do you want to do the safari
  • How many days do you have?
  • What is your estimated budget?
  • Do you prefer a private or group joining safari?
  • What level of comfort are you looking for?
  • Why do you want to do a Safari in Africa?

Once we know what you like, we make up a personalised itinerary with the best route, accommodation, and engaging activities at the best possible price. We send you the detailed itinerary to review and add any suggestions. If it doesn’t feel right, we refine it until it does. Our Promise At Bagaria Tours and Safaris, we believe your safari should feel personal. You must be a part of the planning and own the process for you to best immerse in the experience.

Our role is to honestly guide, advise, and help you create a safari that matches your budget, interests, and travel style.

Whether you want a simple group joining safari, a private family trip, a romantic honeymoon, a photographic safari, a luxury escape, or a Kenya and Tanzania adventure with a Zanzibar beach extension, we can help design it around you.

Your safari should not feel copied and pasted. It should feel like yours.
