  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • The tour start at 5:30am but the pickup times will be between 4am and 5:30am
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

What To Expect

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Depart Nairobi in the morning and enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley and Maasai countryside to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at Enkorok Mara Camp, a refined tented camp set along the Mara River, in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive, exploring golden plains teeming with wildlife. Late September is prime season, with large herds of wildebeest and zebra still present and predators highly active.

Dinner and overnight at camp, accompanied by the sounds of the African night.

Accommodation: Enkorok Mara Camp

Driving Time: Approx. 5–6 hours

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve (Full Day Safari)

After an early breakfast, enjoy a full-day safari in the Masai Mara, with a focus on migration corridors and the Mara River, where dramatic crossings may still occur at this time of year.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush as you soak in uninterrupted savannah views. The Mara in late September offers exceptional predator sightings, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards, with fewer crowds than peak August.

Return to camp in the evening for sundowners, dinner, and overnight.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Northern Serengeti (By Road)

Accommodation: Tanzania Bush Camp – Mara River

Driving Time: Approx. 7–8 hours, including border formalities

After an early breakfast, depart the Masai Mara by road to the Isebania border, where you will complete immigration procedures before continuing into Tanzania.

Enter the remote Northern Serengeti, arriving with a game drive en route to Tanzania Bush Camp – Mara River, perfectly positioned near key river crossing points. This region offers a more exclusive migration experience, with fewer vehicles and intense wildlife action.

Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti

Accommodation: Tukaone Camp

Driving Time: Approx. 4–5 hours (game drive en route)

 

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely drive south through the Serengeti ecosystem. The journey itself is a game drive, as landscapes transition from riverine forest to endless open plains dotted with kopjes.

Arrive at Tukaone Camp in the Central Serengeti for lunch. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive in one of Africa’s most wildlife-dense regions, renowned for resident lions, leopards, cheetahs, and large herbivore herds year-round.

Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 5: Central Serengeti National Park (Full Day)

Accommodation: Tukaone Camp

Spend the day exploring the heart of the Central Serengeti, either on morning and afternoon game drives or a full-day safari with picnic lunch.

October offers superb sightings of predators and plains game, with classic Serengeti scenery stretching endlessly in all directions. Your experienced guide will tailor the day to maximize wildlife encounters while maintaining a relaxed, unhurried pace.

Return to camp in the evening for dinner, and overnight.

 

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Accommodation: Farm of Dreams Lodge

Driving Time: Approx. 4–5 hours

 

After breakfast, depart the Serengeti for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, ascending into the lush crater highlands.

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular crater floor game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers one of the highest wildlife concentrations in Africa, with chances to see the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, all within a breathtaking natural Amphitheatre.

Later, continue to Farm of Dreams Lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Ngorongoro / Karatu to Arusha

End of Safari

Driving Time: Approx. 2–3 hours

 

After a relaxed breakfast, depart by road to Arusha, arriving late morning or early afternoon. This marks the end of an unforgettable cross-border Great Migration safari, rich in wildlife drama, diverse landscapes, and authentic luxury.
